The first Divine Liturgy in English celebrated in our Cathedral

Today, on Saturday, February 9, on the day of remembrance of St. Xenia, the Divine Liturgy in English was celebrated for the first time in our cathedral with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Pereyaslav and Vyshneve. The service was headed by Archpriest Andriy Dudchenko. Priest Yaroslav Yasenets concelebrated, and priest Rostyslav Vorobiy sang. Leitourgikons published by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of the United States, the Orthodox Church of America, and the parish of Archpriest Paul Garrilchak in Reston, VA, were used for worship. After the service, Father Andrew thanked all the participants for sharing their prayers and expressed the hope that the next liturgy in English could be celebrated on Saturday of the first week of Lent.
